AZEX is a browser extension that converts fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies directly from your toolbar. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and what is not collected.


1. Data Stored on Your Device

The Extension saves your preferences locally using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device and includes:

2. Anonymous Usage Analytics

The Extension sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics 4 via the Measurement Protocol (an HTTP POST request -- no remote script is executed). Events include actions such as opening the popup or switching themes. Each event is tagged with a random UUID that is not linked to your Google account, name, email address, or any other personal information.

These analytics exist solely to help the developer understand which features are used so the Extension can be improved.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer user data to any third party. Anonymous analytics data is shared with Google solely to improve the Extension and falls within Google Analytics' approved use cases.

This policy may be updated occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
